Jul 17, 2024 Season 3 Episode 66
secular AA

This recording is from the 2nd annual BC Secular AA Roundup in Langley British Columbia (Canada) July 13, 2024. This is the Washington State panel.

  • What does "conference-approved" literature mean (and what does it not mean)?
  • What are the books that AA members, including irreligious members, read to aid recovery?

Well, we don't cover it all, but we get some samples of experience, strength and hope from Washington:

  1. Peter A. from Mount Vernon explains the history of the AA Conference and how "conference approved" defined literature created by AA, collectively, and how General Service does not intend to approve of or disapprove of what members read on their own or in our AA groups.
  2. Bob J, Sandra J, Lori K and Janice K chime in with special books that aid AA recovery.

Other panels/workshops on this day include:

Dr. Ray B., “What I have learned and seen in Recovery Communities.”

Joe C moderating a workshop on CHIME (Connection, Hope, Identity, Meaning, Empowerment),

Shirley R of Nelson BC, NA, Al-Anon and AA member

Emotional Sobriety

An update on the Vancouver International AA Convention 2025 and the International Conference of Secular AA in Orlando September 20-22, 2024.
