International Conference of Secular AA (ICSAA) 2025 - Spiritual Bypassing

Saturday, September 20th, 2025, this year's virtual 2025 ICSAA Zoom conference included the session "Spiritual Bypassing," led by John R.

Many people believe that "Spiritual Bypassing" is strictly confined to those in a religious context.  John will discuss how the phenomenon can apply to those of us who consider ourselves atheists, non-theists, humanists, secular Buddhists, etc. The presentation is based on his own experience and efforts to overcome this as a pattern of thought and behavior that negatively impacts a more dynamic and embodied life.
